Informa PLC Renews and Expands Its Relationship with ScholarOne®
Charlottesville, Virginia, January 9, 2006
ScholarOne is pleased to announce that Taylor & Francis, leading international academic publisher, has increased its current contract with ScholarOne to license Manuscript Central™ for the online peer-review management of 300 journals worldwide. Taylor & Francis is well known as a global information provider, annually publishing over 1000 journals for customers working as researchers, students, academics, and increasingly professionals. Manuscript Central will be tightly integrated with Taylor & Francis' current workflow, including seamless connection with its in-house electronic systems. The result will be a completely electronic workflow, from an author's submission of a paper through to publication. Such a workflow will greatly increase the efficiency of existing business processes.
"Our use of Manuscript Central has already resulted in an increase in article submissions, due to simplifying this process for our authors, and a reduction in manuscript submission to publication times. Expansion of our contract with ScholarOne will mean we are able to bring the benefits of online management to an ever growing number of journals," commented David Green, group journals publishing director for Taylor & Francis Group plc.
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Taylor & Francis and to have them expand their presence in our rapidly growing user community," said Bill Carden, ScholarOne president and CEO.
